Canoe Project

This wood canvas canoe project operates within the barn at Greenmont Farms. It is intended to directly benefit area high school students who are in need of support and sufficient funds necessary to successfully transition from school.

The project is fully accredited by the State of Vermont as a vocational program where students receive high school credit.

The project relies on donated or low cost canoes that are reasonable candidates for restoration.

Those donating canoes contribute to the welfare of youth and clearly participate in bringing to life the beauty and function of the wood canvas canoe.

Students work alongside teachers and experienced canoe builders to restore canoes with care and professional craftsmanship.

All profits from the sale of restored canoes are administered by the project to directly benefit student need.
